I can't really say that - it feels like it's been on my chest forever.
It hasn't faded - not in appearance nor meaning.
"In the old days, before GPS, sailors would follow birds to land. The sparrow would signify his coming home. The tattoo is supposed to help lead you home."
Make of it what you will.
The home being built of safety, comfort, loyalty and honor.
(As well as brick and cement)
Even though I'm not at sea (not literally anyway), it's comforting.
It helps.
